Coming Clean || Karek

Everything right now was overwhelming, and Kate’s whole world was spinning. After being dead for a year, she was somehow standing here breathing with a beating heart. Not that she was complaining, she would just like to know how it was possible. But right now, that wasn’t really the important thing. The important thing was that she needed to set things straight with people, and be honest about some things that she had never really told anyone before. Number one on that list was Derek Hale, because there’s really nobody in her life that she had hurt so bad, even though deep down she cared for him more than anything. Plus, her biggest secret involved him: that they had a four year old child. Kate’s baby boy… she hadn’t seen him since before her death, and it really bothered her. She was trying to stay away from him because she didn’t want him to get the wrong idea about death, but she didn’t think that was going to last. Before she made her decision to go back for him though, she needed to inform Derek that he even existed.

After having a conversation with Derek about needing to have a serious talk with him, Kate finally talked him into actually seeing her. She didn’t expect it to happen, but she was really glad it did because she felt like telling someone that they were a father was something that should be told to their face. So now she’s in her room of the Argent home, the same room she had always lived in, with her window open. That had always been a habit of hers, ever since her and Derek started dating six years ago. He always snuck through her window at night, and sometimes even got brave enough to do it during the day on occasion. Ever since then, she had always left it open for any time he wanted to drop in. Which hadn’t really happened in a long time. Normally she would be happy that it was going to happen today, but she was too overwhelmed with the thoughts of how he would react to everything to even attempt to think happy. She felt sick, honestly. So she just sat there in silence on the bed, thinking as she waited for the wolf to show up in the window.
