Reunion Dinner? || Karek

beaconxwolves:

Derek wasn’t exactly sure what had possessed him to keep Kate’s number. He had no clue why his heart fluttered when he got a text from her. And he definitely didn’t know why the hell he was flushed as all hell when he saw the picture of her topless. He sighed though, the overwhelming urge to respond was there, and he had done just that. It was kind of nice, talking to her again, even if they were going back and forth. Yet when she said that she had never stopped loving him, his heart nearly skipped a beat. And so, the silly little Alpha asked her to dinner, without thinking of course.

He ran his hands through his hair, what was he getting himself into. He didn’t even know if she was lying about still loving him or not. But he sure as hell missed her, as much as he wanted to deny it, as much as he wanted to say he hated her. It was all an act, all from the pain of losing his family. The pain of blaming himself for it. It hurt worse, mainly because he couldn’t hate her, no matter how hard he tried.

He had pulled up to her place, dressed in a nice white dress shirt and black slacks, along with black dress shoes. He figured she was going to look nice, so he might as well try to as well. Parking his camaro, he walked up to her door and rang the door bell, a little nervous.

When Kate heard the ring of her doorbell, nerves washed over her. It hadn’t really hit her until now just exactly what she was doing. She was going out with her ex that she was torn away from and had never gotten over. She felt like a damn teenager right now going out with her crush, and it was nice and annoying at the same time.

Taking a deep breath she stood up, making her way to the door and she opened it. Upon laying eyes on Derek she smiled faintly as she looked him over. He looked amazing, there was no denying it. Being face to face with him after so long nearly left her breathless anyways. Last time they were face to face was right before Derek’s uncle tore her throat out… This was nearly overwhelming. The huntress leaned against the doorframe and crossed her arms. “Derek… You clean up well.” she finally spoke.
