Derek sighed a bit, shaking his head at the girl. He knew this was’t his normal scene, and that was all fine and dandy. But if he was going to be seeing the senior hottie, that was always a plus. Right? ‘You probably should. Wouldn’t want you to get in too much trouble. I might have to sneak in to rescue you, and that’s no fun.’ He grinned, he was not as sneaky as he liked to think he was, he knew that in the back of his mind.

He shrugged, it wasn’t like it made him feel any better. But hey, at least he didn’t wolf out, so that was a plus. 'You and my uncle disagree there. But that’s not surprise. He likes to think I don’t know what I’m doing sometimes.’ He sighed out. He loved his uncle but sometimes he was more of a burden than an aid.

'Pleasure, Kate. Name’s Derek.’ She probably knew that, but he asked her name so it was only polite to give his in return. He leaned in a bit with a smirk. 'What do you say we ditch this place and go do something fun, hm?’

Kate laughed softly, her lips curling in a smirk. Sneaking out, that was something that Kate did on more than one occasion, especially if it was one of the old ass teachers that couldn’t stay awake. It was really too easy to break the rules around here, not that Kate was complaining. “There’s no fun in not causing trouble. Besides, seeing you playing the hero would be interesting to see.”

“Your uncle?” she questioned, tilting her head to the side. “Is he the one you live with or something? I’ve heard more about him than your actual parents.” she pointed out. She wasn’t trying to pry and he didn’t have to answer if he didn’t want to, she was just curious.

When he pointed out his name, she looked over to him with a small chuckle. “Derek. You must be the JV jockboy hottie that everyone is always talking about. Now I see why they talk about you so much.” she grinned, and it only grew at his next question and she matched the distance he closed between them. “Thought you’d never ask.” she cooed.
